These two wonderful and indulgent therapies have been used for thousands of years by various civilisations, aromatic oils and massage have been used to create a feeling of calm, harmony, relaxation and a feeling of "wellbeing" for one's mind, body and emotions.

Aromatherapy incorporates the use of essential oils, (extracted from flowers, plants and herbs) and various massage techniques to achieve these positive benefits.
Once an aromatic blend has been made, they are then applied to the body during a treatment in various ways; such as Oils, Creams, Exfoliants, Masks and Compresses. They can also be used in an Oil Burner, to cleanse the 'Aura'; and in warm water to use as a hand or foot spa!

Various techniques using the hands, are applied to massage the body; including effleurage (gentle stroking movements), petrissage (applied in circular movements, with the thumbs and the fingers), kneading or knuckling and percussion. These techniques help relieve tension, improve circulation, aid lymphatic drainage, provide relaxation; boost energy levels and create a feeling of wellbeing.

Techniques are applied using various 'mediums', including base oils (e.g. sweet almond, calendula, coconut, avocado, jojoba, etc), creams, lotions and talc.
